Does anyone know where I can find the Best deal on airline tickets to China?

or other parts of Asia? Maybe fly to Japan then transfer over to China. I’m planning to leave for about a month sometime in the beginning of June or beginning of November. I know people that have gotten tickets for less than $600 roundtrip to China. There are travel packages that come with tickets, but suppose I don’t need hotel and stay, just a ticket. Is there a way to buy those packages and just use the ticket? Some of them have lower prices than a plane ticket itself from expedia.com

I’m flying from Boise, ID to Shanghai and staying for two months starting at the end of May. I got my tickets for about $850, a fairly good price. Since I don’t live in a big city like Los Angeles, Chicago, or San Francisco, the tickets were a little bit more. But if you do live in LA or SF, they are like less than $600 roundtrip. Don’t buy travel packages because they have set departure and arrival dates, plus they don’t add in the fare from your city to a port city or allow for flexiblity. June, July, and August are expensive times to travel. Prices change about $100 from May to June. That’s the time most people travel. I would travel around November. Not only are fares lower but the weather is nice…it’s not so hot.

There is a great website called flychina.com that offers great prices. This website has great deals and is relatively inexpensive compared to Yahoo or Expedia.

When you are ready to book, you’ll send them an request via their website with all the dates. Usually it’s the same day that they will notify you by email if their are seats available. If you decide to purchase the ticket, you’ll fax a form that you can print off the internet with all your information on it. Then after a couple of days, they mail you either a e-ticket invoice or paper tickets. There may be more steps than some travel websites, it’s worth it to get airplane tickets that cheap.

If you are flying to Japan first watch out the prices to Japan are expensive.
Try expedia.com that is where I look first when I want to go on holiday.
